Presidents Day Heating

Sure, Presidents Day takes place in February, so it isn’t always associated with heat…but just imagine you’re in your kitchen, and suddenly your entire family is coming in and out, eating and drinking and talking.

They’re moving around the room, you’re moving around the room, the oven is on making dinner, and before you know it, it feels like it’s ninety degrees!

For all your long weekend festivities, make sure that your HVAC systems are working properly to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. You wouldn’t want the house to freeze after everyone’s gone home, would you?

Central HVAC

We know that in February, the days are never hot, but they can get pretty darn cold! And as the weeks pass by, the das will begin to get warmer. During the spring, we’ll likely have mixed temperatures that rise and fall daily.

That’s why it’s a good idea to have a centralized HVAC system. Adjusting the temperature in your home is easier to do if you only have to adjust it once.

Imagine having to go room by room raising the temperature, just to have to go room by room the next day again to lower the temperature! If you have one central HVAC system, all you have to do is adjust the temperature on your thermostat to your liking, and the entire house will reflect the change.

Heating Services

For the time being, though, we’re still in the middle of February, and temperatures are chilly, or say the least! Imagine if your heater gave out on you now!

That’s some nerve your heater’s got to give out in the middle of a three day weekend when all you wanted was to hang out with your family and friends and enjoy it!

While some HVAC companies may tell you that you have to wait until Tuesday for repairs, Peterman Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, Inc. is committed to providing quality heating services on even the most inconvenient days!

AC Filters

Now, it’s important to remember that you can’t get something for nothing. If you expect your HVAC system to take care of you and keep you comfortable, you’ll need to take care of it too!

That means scheduling regular maintenance and tune-ups every 6-12 months, as well as changing your air filter every 3-6 months, depending on the amount of dust and debris in your home.

Changing out your filter can help remove airborne contaminants like pollen, dander, dust, and even mold spores from the air in your home to preserve your air quality. Keep on top of your filter, and you’ll be breathing easier in no time!

So this Presidents Day, don’t let a broken HVAC system stop you from honoring our former presidents. George Washington didn’t lead our fight for freedom so that we could struggle without heat in February!

In all seriousness, there is no reason for your HVAC system not to be working at peak condition with Peterman Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, Inc. around. If you live in Indianapolis or the surrounding areas, give us a call today at   (765) 885-1931 for quality HVAC services when you need them!
